The focus on serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) and potential SIFs (pSIFs) continues to be of high importance as we have seen a disproportionately slow decline in these incidents when compared to other, less serious incidents. Additionally, it can be argued the recent events impacting our world have further highlighted the need to prioritize worker health and safety. ISN’s Serious Injuries and Fatalities White Paper analyzes 2018, 2019 and 2020 data from 60,000+ recordable incidents. In this publication, the results of this three-year analysis are shared to assist organizations with identifying potential trends and insights that can help forecast where SIFs may occur in the future.
